1. Who can book the tours?
The tours are available to EVECC 2027 participants and accompanying persons.
2. What city tours are available to conference participants?
We offer three main walking routes around Kraków, as well as a beer and food tour.
3. How do I book tickets for the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Schindler’s Factory Museum?
Visits to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Schindler’s Factory Museum must be booked independently by participants. We recommend making a reservation at least eight weeks before the planned visit.
4. In which languages are the tours available?
The tours are available in English or Polish.
5. Do the tours need to be booked in advance?
Yes. We recommend booking in advance, as the number of places on each tour is limited.
6. Where can I find the tour dates and starting times?
The dates, starting times, duration and other practical information are provided in the description of each tour on the EVECC 2027 tourist programme website.
7. Why are some tours organised in the morning and others in the evening?
We have prepared both morning and evening tours so that conference participants can choose the most convenient option and fit sightseeing around the conference programme.
8. Where do the tours start?
The exact meeting point is provided in the description of each tour. Participants should arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled starting time.
9. How long does the Wieliczka Salt Mine tour take, and what is included in the price?
The conference trip takes approximately 4–5 hours and includes pick-up from the nearest designated meeting point, transport to and from the mine, and an English-language tour conducted by an official mine guide.
The Tourist Route itself takes approximately two hours. When combined with the underground exhibition of the Kraków Saltworks Museum, the visit may take up to three hours.
A private transfer can also be arranged separately.
10. How far in advance should I book the Wieliczka Salt Mine tour?
The EVECC tour to Wieliczka is available on request only. Submitting a request does not constitute a confirmed booking.
Once availability has been checked, we send the price and booking conditions. The booking becomes valid only after accepting the offer and completing payment.
11. How many steps are there in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, and what should I wear?
The standard Tourist Route includes approximately 800 steps, around 380 of which are located at the beginning of the descent.
The route is approximately 3.5 kilometres long and reaches a depth of around 135 metres.
The underground temperature remains at approximately 17–18°C throughout the year.
We recommend comfortable closed shoes, a jumper or light jacket, and layered clothing.
12. Is the Wieliczka Salt Mine accessible to wheelchair users?
The standard EVECC conference tour is not suitable for wheelchair users because of the initial descent, the large number of steps and uneven surfaces.
The mine offers limited adapted options, but these require separate arrangements in advance.
13. How will I get to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, and where will the meeting point be?
The conference package includes pick-up from the nearest designated meeting point.
The exact location and time will be provided in the booking confirmation.
A private transfer can also be arranged separately.
14. What luggage can I take into the mine, and is the tour suitable for children?
Only small hand luggage measuring no more than 20 × 20 × 35 centimetres may be taken into the mine.
Larger bags, suitcases and pushchairs must be left in the vehicle or in an available luggage storage facility.
The Tourist Route is open to visitors of all ages.
15. In which language is the tour conducted, and can the booking be cancelled?
The published conference package includes an English-language tour of the mine.
Once ticket availability has been confirmed, the offer accepted and payment completed, the conference tour to Wieliczka is non-refundable.
16. How do I book tickets to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Schindler’s Factory Museum?
Participants must book tickets independently.
We recommend making reservations for both places at least eight weeks before the planned visit.
17. How long does a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial take?
A standard guided visit takes approximately 3–5 hours.
Including travel from Kraków, participants should allow approximately 7–9 hours for the entire trip.
18. How much does a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial cost?
Current ticket prices can be checked on the official Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum website.
Transport from Kraków is usually charged separately.
19. Is a tour to Zakopane available?
A tour to Zakopane is not included in the official EVECC 2027 tourist programme.

20. How can I book a tour through the conference website?
Log in to your EVECC 2027 registration account, select the tour and complete the payment online or by bank transfer.
A confirmation will be sent by email.
21. When is a booking confirmed?
A booking is confirmed after the booking process has been completed and payment has been received.
22. What are the general cancellation conditions?
More than 7 days before the tour: 100% refund.
Between 7 days and 48 hours before the tour: 50% refund.
Less than 48 hours before the tour: no refund.
No refund is provided for a no-show.
23. Why is the Wieliczka tour non-refundable?
The tour depends on tickets purchased from an external provider.
Once availability has been confirmed, the offer accepted and payment completed, the booking becomes non-refundable.
24. What are the cancellation conditions for a private Hop-On Hop-Off bus?
The conditions are specified individually in the offer sent before booking.
25. What happens if I arrive late?
Participants should arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure.
The group may leave without waiting, and missed tours are non-refundable.
26. In which currency are tours paid, and can I receive an invoice?
Tour prices are listed in euros per person unless stated otherwise.
Payment can be made online or by bank transfer.
Participants requiring an invoice should provide complete billing details before payment.
