The tour begins in Kazimierz, Kraków’s historic Jewish district. Walking through its streets, you will learn about Jewish traditions, culture and everyday life before the Second World War.Depending on opening hours, the tour includes a visit to either the Old Synagogue or the Remuh Synagogue and Remuh Cemetery. These sites are closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
Along the way, you will hear stories of famous Jewish residents of Kraków, including Helena Rubinstein and Roman Polański, and visit several locations used during the filming of Schindler’s List.After crossing the Vistula River to Podgórze, the tour continues through the area of the former Kraków Ghetto. You will see a preserved fragment of the ghetto wall, visit Ghetto Heroes Square and discover further locations connected with the film.
